Jon Stone wins Eric Gregory Award
UEA alumnus Jon Stone has been announced as one of the winners of this year’s Eric Gregory Awards. The awards are worth £3,000 each and are given for collections by poets under the age of 30. Jon (pictured) was born in Derby in 1983 and currently lives in London. He graduated from UEA’s undergraduate programme in 2004 and went on to co-create the poetry and arts journal Fuselit. He has published two collections of poetry, ‘I’ll Show You Tyrants’ (2005) and ‘Scarecrows’ (2010). His work has also appeared on the Guardian website, Bizarre magazine and in the anthologies ‘City State: New London Poetry’ and ‘Stop Sharpening Your Knives 3’.
