‘The Fugitives’ by Panos Karnezis
‘The Fugitives’ is the new novel by UEA alumnus Panos Karnezis and is published by Jonathan Cape today. Panos born in Greece in 1967 and moved to England in 1992. He graduated from the UEA MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2000, and published his first collection of short fiction, ‘Little Infamies’, in 2002. He has since published three novels, ‘The Maze’, which was shortlisted for the 2004 Whitbread First Novel award, ‘The Birthday Party’ (2007) and ‘The Convent’ (2010), which was longlisted for the International Impac Dublin Literary Award.
