UEA alumna Faith Ng has been selected by The Straits Times in Singapore as one of 30 rising stars in the arts and media under the age of 30. Faith (pictured) graduated with Distinction from the UEA MA in Creative Writing (Scriptwriting) in 2013 and now teaches playwriting at the National University of Singapore. Her most recent play Normal was staged at the Checkpoint Theatre in Singapore in April. Her two previous plays, wo(men) (2010) and For Better Or For Worse (2013), were both nominated for Best Original Script in the Life! Theatre Awards. She was the writer-in-residence for the Singapore Creative Writing Residency programme in 2014, and is an Associate Artist with Checkpoint Theatre.
