Katharine Norbury shortlisted for the Wainwright Prize
The Fish Ladder: A Journey Upstream by Katharine Norbury has been included in the shortlist for the 2016 Wainwright Prize, which celebrates the best writing on the outdoors, nature and UK-based travel writing. The prize is sponsored by Wainwright Golden Beer and is awarded in association with The National Trust and selected with the assistance of a committee from The Wainwright Society. Katharine (pictured) graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2011 and is currently undertaking a PhD in Creative Writing at Goldsmiths College, London. The Fish Ladder was published by Bloomsbury last year and was longlisted for the Guardian First Book Award. The winner of the £5,000 award will be announced on 5th August.
