Martin Figura
Martin Figura was born in Liverpool in 1956. He joined the army aged fiteen, leaving as a Major in 1997, after twenty-five years, to become a photographer, which is what he still is. He is currently doing an MA in Writing the Visual at Norwich School of Art and Design. He is a member of the performance group The Joy of Six, with whom he has performed across the world. He is the author of This Man's Army, a collection of photographs (Dewi Lewis Publishing), which contains a foreward by Billy Bragg. He also wrote The Little Book of Harm (Firewater Press) which has been reprinted three times. Forthcoming Readings |
