Alex Valente translates Italian and French into English, and English and French into Italian. He claims he also works with Old English and Latin (and sometimes he does!). He has published a handful of poems and short stories in both English and Italian publications. He is currently in his first year of a PhD in Literary Translation, focusing on translation strategies for Italian comics and graphic novels into English.
