Forget-me-not
Through blading grass
she peers
eye blue as gas
to come
eye to eye
with an ant
and tip
her violet cap
Lilly-of-the-valley
Turning to stare
the bells at her wrist
loosen
chime
once, for dawn
lacing the valley
twice,
perish
white
Dandelion
Her head is bald, small
from where the white parasols have flown
a cushion of empty pores
Bluebottle
Yes yes bluebottle
she replies
wiping her hands
perched
like a virus
Stone
She tastes of a note
echoing in a hallway
she was cold
in the child’s hand
but a mote of heat
in the riverbed
Mushroom
She is not of this place
and hides her raw gills
beneath a top of blind flesh.
Her and her friends huddle together
drunk on their own plots and spores
Phytoplankton
The tide brings her
she teems to jouissance
in LED blue
the beach brings her back
Mercury
She alone knows
everything is liquid
displaced by the mass of our bodies
Infinity
She eludes you
but runs next to you
in parallel
hoping to meet at some point
