This collaborative piece was written by Sarah Jones and Simon Pook, who are both studying for their masters degrees at The University of East Anglia (UEA). The piece was completed for the 2016 ‘Creative Critical Writing’ module, run by Stephen Benson and Clare Connors. It is a response to Alan Hollinghurst’s novel The Line of Beauty (Picador, 2005), and its notions of hospitality, music and form.
