Richard Evans possessess a mesmerising and sometimes shocking poetic voice. This, his first collection, 'The Zoo Keeper', took readers and critics by storm. It has been described as 'poetry as it should be, red in tooth and claw', and reviewers across the country have praised this young poet's forceful and insightful use of language and imagery.

Richard Evans Richard Evans grew up in Hastings, the suicide capital of the south, where news stories range from the unfortunate to the macabre. He began his poetry career young, reading at The National Poetry Festival at the age of eleven, and printing his first book in the same year. He has been published in many magazines and anthologies, including Fire, Exile, Unica, Write Here Write Now, Breathe, Forward Press and The Egg Box. He attended the prestigious creative writing course, established by Malcolm Bradbury, at the University of East Anglia. Camilla Stapleton-Hibbert was tipped as one of the most talented photographers of her generation and had many photographs exhibited and published. She was enrolled in the world-renowned photography course in Falmouth, and was an apprentice to the photographer Steve Pike. Tragically, Camilla took her own life on november 8, 2003.
