Maire Cooney wins international short story award

Recent UEA graduate Maire Cooney has won the 2010 Raymond Carver Short Story Award for her story ‘The White Rabbit’. The award is organised by
US literary journal The Carve, and is worth $1,000 to the winner. Maire’s winning story is published in the current edition of the magazine, which can be found by clicking on the heading above. Maire graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) last year and is currently working
on her first novel.
