‘The English German Girl’ is the second novel by Jake Wallis Simons and is published this month by Polygon. Born in London in 1978, Jake was awarded
a first class degree in English from St Peter’s College, Oxford, before undertaking a PhD in Creative Writing at UEA in 2007. His first novel,
‘The Exiled Times of a Tibetan Jew’, was published in 2005 and named by the Independent on Sunday as a Book of the Year. Jake is writes for a
number of broadsheet newspapers in the UK, and regularly broadcasts on BBC
Radio 4.
