Two graduates of the UEA Creative Writing MA have been longlisted for this year’s Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award, which is worth 25,000 euros to the winner. Zoe Lambert (pictured) is nominated for her collection ‘The War Tour’, which is published by Comma Press. She graduated from the MA in 2002 and is currently a lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Bolton while completing her PhD at Manchester Metropolitan University. DW (Dave) Wilson is nominated for ‘Once You Break a Knuckle’, which is published in the UK by Bloomsbury later this month. Dave was the winner of the 2011 BBC Short Story Award and is currently also shortlisted for the CBC Short Story Prize in his native Canada. He is completing a PhD in Creative & Critical Writing at UEA. Also longlisted for the award is Will Boast, a recent Charles Pick Writing Fellow at UEA, for his collection ‘Power Ballads’
