‘Fermata’ is the new collection of poetry by UEA writer Dennison Smith
and has just been published by Quattro Press of Toronto. Dennison
(pictured) graduated from the Creative Writing MA at UEA this year and
has just embarked on her PhD in Creative & Critical Writing under the
supervision of novelist Henry Sutton. Her first novel, ‘Scavenger’,
was published by Insomniac Press in 1998, and her next novel, ‘Eye of
the Day’, will be published by Harper Collins next year. Her previous
collection of poetry, ‘Anon Necessity’, was published by
LyricalMyrical Press in Toronto in 2010. Dennison has received the
Agnes Nixon Playwriting Award, the Francis Lerner Award for
Performance Literature, and the Stand International Short Story Award.
