‘The Tip of My Tongue (and Some Other Weapons as Well)’ is the latest title by UEA alumna and Creative Writing lecturer Trezza Azzopardi. A contemporary adaptation of a tale from the celtic myth cycle the Mabinogion, it is published in paperback by Seren this week. Trezza graduated from the UEA Creative Writing MA in 1998. Her first novel, ‘The Hiding Place’, was published in 2000 and short-listed for the Booker Prize and the James Tait Black Memorial Prize and won the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize. This was followed by ‘Remember Me’, which was published in 2004 and shortlisted for the Arts Council Wales Book of the Year, ‘Winterton Blue’ (2007) and ‘The Song House’ (2010). She teaches on the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at UEA, including the MA in Prose Fiction.
