‘The Eye of the Day’ is the new novel by UEA writer Dennison Smith and is published by Harper Collins Canada this week. Dennison (pictured) graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2012 and is currently undertaking her PhD in Creative and Critical Writing at UEA under the supervision of Henry Sutton. Her first novel, ‘Scavenger’, was published in 1998, and she has since published two collections of poetry, ‘Anon Necessity’ in 2010 and ‘Fermata’ in 2012. Her writing has won the Stand International Short Story Award, the Francis Lerner Author’s Award for Performance Literature, and the Agnes Nixon Award for Playwriting. She is currently working on her third novel, ‘Seeds’.
