Susan (pictured) is the author of numerous works, including literary novels, short stories, ghost stories, detective fiction, essays and reviews, and children’s books. The play of her novella ‘The Woman in Black’ has been running in the West End since 1988. She has been the recipient of the Whitbread, John Llewellyn Rhys and Somerset Maugham prizes, and has been shortlisted for the Booker Prize. Her latest work of fiction is ‘Black Sheep’. The UEA literary festival continues with appearances by Joanna Trollope, Benjamin Black (a pseudonym of Booker Prize-winning novelist John Banville), Emma Donnoghue, and this year’s Man Booker Prize-winner, Eleanor Catton.
