Eleanor Catton at UEA

New Writing

UEA’s rolling international literary festival continues this evening with Eleanor Catton in conversation with novelist and UEA senior lecturer in Creative Writing, Jean McNeil. Eleanor (pictured) was the youngest-ever winner of the Man Booker Prize for Fiction for her second novel, ‘The Luminaries’, awarded in 2013. Her first novel, The Rehearsal’, was published in 2008. Born in Canada and brought up in New Zealand, she has studied and taught at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, and now lives in Wellington, New Zealand. Last month she was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to literature. Booking information can be found here.
