Five UEA students and alumni have been nominated for this year’s Saboteur awards. In the ‘Best Anthology’ category they are Lynne Bryan (MA 1985) and Bel Greenwood (MA 2005), editors of ‘Words & Women One’ (Unthank Books), and Katy Darby (MA 2006), editor (with Cherry Potts) of ‘Weird Lies’ (Arachne Press). Katy Darby is also nominated for her work as a founding organizer of the Liars’ League series of live literature events (Best Regular Spoken Word Night) Rebecca Tamas (current PhD) is nominated in the Best Poetry Pamphlet category for ‘The Ophelia Letters’ (Salt). Jon Stone (BA 2004) is nominated along with Kirsten Irving for ‘Riotous’ (Sidekick Books) in the Best Collaborative Work category. The Saboteur awards are organized by the website Sabotage, which supports small presses, poetry and fiction magazines, online journals, and live literature.
