New Writing

‘The Hitting Game’ is the debut full-length collection of poetry by UEA alumnus Graham Clifford and has recently been published by Seren. Graham graduated with a BA in Fine Art from Middlesex University in 1995 and the MA in Creative Writing (Poetry) at UEA in 2001. His work has been published in numerous journals including Poetry Wales, The Rialto, Magma, and London Magazine, and has been commended in several competitions including The Arvon International and the Bridport Prize. His pamphlet ‘Welcome Back to the Country’ was the winner of the 2010 Poetry Wales Purple Moose Poetry Collection Award. He has also performed at venues and events including Hay on Wye, The Troubadour Cafe and the Aldeburgh Poetry Festival.
