‘Wallflowers’ is the debut collection of short stories by UEA author Eliza Robertson and is published by Bloomsbury this week in the UK. It was successfully published in North America last year, becoming a bestseller in her native Canada. Eliza joined the MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) at UEA in 2011 as that year’s recipient of the UEA-Booker Foundation scholarship, and graduated in 2012 as the recipient of the Curtis Brown Award. She is currently studying for her PhD in Creative and Critical Writing at UEA. In Canada she has won three national awards for her short fiction and has twice been longlisted for the Journey Prize. In 2013 she was a finalist for the CBC Short Story Prize and the winner of the Commonwealth Short Story Prize. Eliza will be reading from ‘Wallflowers’ at UEA Live on 22nd January.
