Ian McEwan, Emma Healey and David Almond shortlisted for IBW Awards

Three UEA alumni have been shortlisted for this year’s Independent Booksellers Week (IBW) Awards. In the adult category Emma Healey is shortlisted for ‘Elizabeth is Missing’, published by Penguin, and Ian McEwan for ‘The Children Act’, published by Vintage. ‘A Song For Ella Grey’ by David Almond, which is published by Hodder, has been included on the children’s shortlist. Emma (pictured) graduated from the UEA MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2011. Ian McEwan graduated with an MA in 1970, and David Almond with a BA in 1973.
