The author Julia Blackburn will be appearing at the UEA literary festival this Wednesday, where she will be reading from her new work ‘Threads: The Delicate Life of John Craske’, and talking to UEA Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing Henry Sutton about her life and career. Julia Blackburn has published seven books of non-fiction, including the memoir ‘The Three of Us: A Family Story’, which was shortlisted for the Costa Award. She is also the author of two novels, both of which were shortlisted for the Orange Prize. Like the book, her discussion of ‘Threads: The Delicate Life of John Craske’ will be illustrated. The event begins at 7pm and will be held in the University’s main lecture theatre. Tickets may be booked here.
