Escaping Hitler: A Jewish Boy’s Quest For Freedom And His Future is the debut biography by UEA alumna Phyllida Scrivens and is published by Pen and Sword Books this month. Phyllida graduated with a BA in Literature from the Open University in 2011 and completed the MA in Biography and Creative Non-Fiction at UEA in 2014. She will speaking about the book at a launch event at Jarrolds in Norwich on 4th February and at a number of other events later this year, including two in Germany. Phyllida lives in Norfolk and is currently writing a series of short biographies of the sixteen lady Lord Mayors of Norwich since 1923, for which she was awarded the 2015 Harry Watson Bursary from the Norwich Heritage, Economic and Regeneration Trust.
