Yuki Chan in Bronte Country is the new novel by UEA alumnus Mick Jackson and is published by Faber & Faber this week. Mick graduated from the MA in Creative Writing in 1992 and published his first novel, The Underground Man, in 1997. This won the Society of Authors First Novel Award and was shortlisted for both the Booker Prize and the Whitbread First Novel Award. He has since written three more novels, a novella, a collection of stories and an e-book, all published by Faber & Faber, and has written and directed prize-winning short films and directed a documentary for BBC2. Between 2012-14 he was the Royal Literary Fund Writing Fellow at the University of Sussex
