Bird Sisters is the first full length poetry collection by UEA alumna Julia Webb and has just been published by Nine Arches Press. Julia gained a BA in Creative Writing from Norwich University of the Arts before graduating from the MA in Creative Writing (Poetry) at UEA in 2010. She is one of the editorial team for The Lighthouse, a journal for new writing, and her poetry has appeared in Magma, The Rialto, Poetry Salzburg Review, and Ink, Sweat and Tears, among other places. She was shortlisted for the Bridport Prize in 2008 and 2009, and in 2011 she won The National Poetry Society Stanza Competition with her prose poem Lent. In 2014 she was shortlisted for The Poetry School/Pighog Pamphlet Prize. There will be a launch event for Bird Sisters on 11th May, 6.30pm, at The Greenhouse in Norwich
