A short documentary film scripted by UEA alumna Claire Carter won both Best Film and the People’s Choice Award at the Edinburgh Mountain Film Festival. Operation Moffat, made in collaboration with film-maker Jen Randall, follows the climbing career of Gwen Moffat, now 91, who was Britain’s first female mountain guide. Moffat’s first book Space Below My Feet has been reissued following the film’s release, and in the film Claire (pictured) both interviews Moffat and attempts some of her climbs. Claire graduated from the UEA BA in English Literature with Creative Writing in 2007 and the MA in Creative Writing (Poetry) in 2010
