Noon in Paris, Eight in Chicago is the new novel by UEA alumnus Douglas Cowie and is published by Myriad Editions this week. Douglas is originally from Chicago and has lived in England and Berlin since 1999. He graduated from the UEA MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2000 and completed his PhD in Creative and Critical Writing at UEA in 2007. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at Royal Holloway, University of London. His first novel, Owen Noone And The Marauder, was published in the UK and the US in 2005. Most recently he has published two linked novellas in the US, Sing for Life: Tin Pan Alley (2013) and Sing for Life: Away, You Rolling River (2014).
