A Hope On The Wall by UEA alumna Anna Metcalfe is a 40-page essay in pamphlet form and the debut print publication by Seam Editions, a publishing house dedicated to creative-critical writing. Anna (pictured) was born in Germany in 1987 and grew up in Fife and Lincolnshire. She has worked and studied in Lausanne, Chongquing, Paris and Norwich and graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) at UEA in 2012 and from the PhD in Creative and Critical Writing in 2016. In 2014 she was the youngest writer ever to be shortlisted for the Sunday Times EFG Short Story Award, and in 2016 her debut collection of short stories Blind Water Pass was published by John Murray.
