Ordinary People is the third novel by UEA graduate Diana Evans and is published by Chatto & Windus this week. Diana graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2003. Her debut novel, 26a, was published in 2005 and won the inaugural Orange Award for New Writers and the British Book Awards deciBel Writer of the Year prize. It was also shortlisted for the Whitbread First Novel Award, the Guardian First Book Award, the Commonwealth Best First Book Award and a Times/Southbank Show Breakthrough Awards. Her second novel, The Wonder, was published in 2009. Her journalism and criticism has been published in Marie Claire, the Independent, the Guardian, the Observer, the Times, Financial Times and Harper’s Bazaar.
