The Cremation Project by UEA alumna Andrea Mason has been shortlisted for the inaugural Fitzcarraldo Editions Novel Prize. The prize is worth £3,000 to the winner as well as publication by Fitzcarraldo Editions. Andrea (pictured) graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2004 and is currently completing a PhD in Creative Writing at Goldsmiths in London. She is the director of Literary Kitchen Ltd, a creative writing enterprise that provides creative writing courses, events, and consultancy. In 2014 she founded the Literary Kitchen Festival. She teaches Creative Writing at Central Saint Martins and the London College of Communication.
