Lucia, the third novel by UEA alumnus Alex Pheby, has been nominated for this year’s Republic of Consciousness Prize. Alex graduated with a PhD in Creative & Critical Writing from UEA in 2010 and is currently the programme leader of Creative Writing at the University of Greenwich in London and co-founder and co-director of the annual Greenwich Book Festival. His first novel Grace was published by Two Ravens Press in 2009. Playthings was published by Galley Beggar Press in 2015 and was shortlisted for the Wellcome Book Prize. Lucia was published by Galley Beggar Press last year. His fourth novel Mordew will be published by Galley Beggar later this year.
