Dinomania is a new play co-written and produced by current UEA Creative Writing student Lauren Mooney and has just opened at the New Diorama Theatre in London. The play is staged by Kandinsky, an award-winning theatre company established by Lauren and her co-writers Al Smith and James Yeatman. Their previous productions have won the Sunday Times Playwriting Award, a Peter Brook Festival Award and an OffWestEnd Award for Best Ensemble, and been shortlisted for the Carol Tambor Award. Trap Street, a 2018 Kandinsky show co-written by Lauren, is shortly to transfer to the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz in Berlin. Lauren previously worked as the literary producer for Clean Break, which supports emerging writers and produces engagement work in prisons. She is a graduate of the Royal Court Introduction to Playwriting course (2015) and has written extensively about theatre, arts and culture for Exeunt, The Stage and The Guardian. She is currently the David Higham Scholar on the Creative Writing (Prose) MA at UEA.
