Terrarium is the debut poetry collection by UEA alumna Urvashi Bahuguna and is published this week by The (Great) Indian Poetry Collective, with a launch event at the Akshara Theatre New Delhi. Previously titled Mudscope, the collection won the The (Great) Indian Poetry Collective’s Emerging Poet’s Prize in 2017. Urvashi graduated from the UEA Creative Writing (Poetry) MA in 2014. She grew up in Goa and currently lives and works in Delhi. Her work has appeared in numerous journals and has been anthologised in Aquanauts (Sidekick Books, 2017) and Modern English Poetry by Younger Indians (Sahitya Akademi, 2018). She has also been the recipient of a Charles Wallace India Trust Fellowship, a Sangam House fellowship, an Eclectica Spotlight Author Prize, a TOTO Award for Creative Writing, a Wingword Poetry Prize, and nominations for Best of the Net and the Pushcart Prize.
