Sara Barnard wins YA Book Prize

Goodbye, Perfect , the third book for Young Adults by UEA alumna Sara Barnard, has won The Bookseller‘s 2019 YA Book Prize. Sara graduated from the UEA BA in Literature with Creative Writing at UEA in 2010 and published her debut YA novel Beautiful Broken Things  in 2016. This was shortlisted for the YA Book Prize in 2017. Her second YA novel, A Quiet Kind Thunder, was published in 2017, and was followed Goodbye, Perfect last year. Sara’s fourth novel Fierce Fragile Hearts was published by Macmillan Children’s Books earlier this year. The YA Book Prize is worth £2,000 and was presented to her at the Hay Literary Festival.
