The Bras and the Bees: the Extraordinary Life of BJ Sherriff is a new biography by UEA alumna Felicity Notley and has recently been published by Scryfa. Felicity graduated from the UEA MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2016 as the recipient of that year’s Seth Donaldson Memorial Scholarship. She writes short stories and poetry and is currently working on a novel. Her work has been longlisted for the Mslexia Novel Competition and shortlisted for the Bridport Prize for Poetry and in 2018 she co-edited with Emma Timpany the anthology Cornish Short Stories: A Collection of Contemporary Cornish Writing, which has been nominated for the Gorsedh Kernow’s Holyer an Gof Publishers’ Awards, which reward books about Cornwall.
