UEA student Jade Cuttle has been longlisted for the 2019 Guardian/4th Estate BAME Short Story Prize for her story ‘#succulove’. Jade (pictured) is a current student on the MA in Creative Writing (Poetry). She is Deputy Poetry Editor at Ambit and will be a judge on this year’s Costa Book Awards. She has written for the Guardian, the TLS, the Observer and the Spectator, and for BBC Radio 3. A double recipient of the Foyle Young Poet Award, Jade has also won the BBC Proms Poetry Competition and the National Seafaring Limerick Competition, and was a winner in the Creative Future Literary Awards. The winner of the Guardian/4th Estate Prize will receive £1000 and publication in the Guardian. The shortlist will be announced on 13 August and the winner on 10 September.
