Recent UEA Creative Writing graduate Anna Wharton has signed a two-book deal with Pan Mac imprint Mantle for her first two novels. The first title, The Imposter, will be published in spring 2021. Anna (pictured) graduated from the Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) MA last year. She previously worked as a journalist, and was a regular contributor to TV shows such as This Morning, Good Morning Britain, and the Alan Titchmarsh Show. A former executive editor at The Daily Mail, she has written columns for The Times, The Guardian, Grazia, and Red, among numerous other titles, and is also the ghostwriter of four titles: Breaking the Silence by Jo Milne (2015), CUT: One Woman’s Fight Against FGM in Britain Today by Hibo Wardere (2016), which was longlised for the 2017 Orwell Prize, Brave by Adele Bellis (2017), and Somebody I Used To Know, the bestselling memoir of dementia sufferer Wendy Mitchell, which was published by Bloomsbury last year.
