Two graduates of the UEA Creative Writing MA have been shortlisted for the 2019 Berlin Writing Prize. Eliza Robertson is nominated for her short story ‘Délphine’ and Hannah Harper for her story ‘One In Eight’. Eliza (pictured) graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2012 as the recipient of the Curtis Brown Award and completed a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing at UEA in 2017. Her debut collection of short fiction Wallflowers was published in 2015 and her debut novel Demi-Gods in 2017. Hannah studied literature at the University of Sheffield before joining the UEA Creative Writing MA, from which she graduated in 2011. She is currently completing her first novel. Both writers will be included in the Reader Berlin anthology, published by the independent Berlin press KLAK Verlag.
