Shame On Me: An Anatomy Of Race And Belonging is a new memoir by UEA Professor of Creative Writing, Tessa McWatt, and is published by Scribe this week. Tessa is the author of six novels, most recently, Higher Ed (Scribe 2015), and two books for young people. She has been nominated for the Governor General’s Award, the City of Toronto Book Awards, and the OCM Bocas Prize, and was one of the winners of the Eccles British Library Award in 2018, during which time she developed Shame On Me. Tessa is also a librettist, most recently working with British composer Hannah Kendall.
