Two UEA Creative Writing alumni have been shortlisted for the Winchester Poetry Prize, which is judged this year by Andrew McMillan. Lewis Buxton, who graduated from the BA in English Literature with Creative Writing in 2014 and has just completed the MA in Creative Writing (Poetry), is nominated for two poems: ‘Field Dressing A Rabbit’ and ‘Wrestling’. James McDermott (pictured) is a 2016 graduate of the MA in Creative Writing (Scriptwriting) and is nominated for ‘They Could Be Having Sex’. The winner of the prize will be announced at the online Winchester Poetry Festival on 10 October and all nominated poems will be published in an anthology
