Strangers: Essays On The Human And Nonhuman is the new book by UEA alumna Rebecca Tamás and is published by Makina Books this week. Rebecca completed her PhD in Creative & Critical Writing at UEA in 2017, having previously gained a BA in English & Creative Writing from Warwick University and an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Edinburgh. She currently teaches Creative Writing at York St John University. Her first pamphlet The Ophelia Letters was published by Salt in 2013, and her second Savage by Clinic Press in 2017. In 2018 she published Tiger, a single long-form poem, as a pamphlet with Bad Betty Shots and in 2019 her debut collection, Witch, was published by Penned In The Margins and named as a Poetry Book Society recommendation. Rebecca is also the co-editor of Spells: Occult Poetry For The 21st Century, with Sarah Shin (Ignota Books).
