Manchester Something Rich and Strange is a new book of writing and photographs co-edited by Paul Dobraszczyk and UEA alumna Sarah Butler and features the work of twenty-five poets, academics, writers, novelists, historians, architects and artists. It has just been published by Manchester University Press. Sarah graduated from the UEA MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) in 2003 and runs UrbanWords, a consultancy that develops literature projects engaging with regeneration and urban renewal. She has also held residencies at Great Ormond Street hospital, and the London Underground Central Line, which resulted in the publication Central Line Stories, produced in collaboration with London Underground staff. Her first novel Ten Things I’ve Learned About Love was published by Picador in 2012 and in fifteen other countries. This was followed by Before the Fire in 2015, and Jack & Bet which was published earlier this year.
