The Year of the Gun is the new novel by UEA alumnus H.B. (Ben) Lyle and is published by Hodder and Stoughton this week. It is the third in a series of crime thrillers that began in 2017 with The Irregular: A Different Class of Spy and was followed by The Red Ribbon in 2018. Ben has worked in the film industry for nearly 20 years. He graduated from the MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) at UEA in 2010 before going on to complete a PhD in Film and Television, also at UEA. He published his debut novel Terms in 2015 with Hookline Books
