I’m Afraid That’s All We’ve Got Time For is the debut collection of short stories by translator and current UEA student Jen Calleja. It has just been published by Prototype. Jen is currently studying for her PhD in Creative & Critical Writing at UEA. Her debut collection of poetry, Serious Justice, was published by Test Centre in 2016, followed by the pamphlet Hamburger in the Archive, which was published by If A Leaf Falls Press in 2019. As a translator from German, she has translated over sixteen novels and was shortlisted for the Man Booker International Prize 2019 for her translation of Marion Poschmann’s The Pine Islands (Serpent’s Tail). She has also been shortlisted for the Schlegel-Tieck Prize, longlisted for the International Dublin Literature Award and published in The New Yorker, Granta and The White Review. Jen was the inaugural Translator in Residence at the British Library.
