this new sadness?         oh        my body is tired of being a body

my I love yous walk in and say I love you        and sit like rooftop ice on the kitchen floor

while it rains outside in the dim light

these girlish parts of me will moon away slowly

I could be the eyeball sweetness

and my bare chest                    a faded pink

I am everything & nothing has happened
