Current UEA Creative Writing student Eve Esfandiari Denney has been shortlisted for this year’s White Review Poet’s, which is open to English-language poets developing a debut pamphlet or collection and is worth £2,500 to the winner. The prize is run in partnership with the independent publishing and film production company CHEERIO. Eve (pictured) is a British born Persian/Roma poet from South London. She recently graduated from Goldsmiths with a BA in English and Creative Writing and is currently completing the MA in Creative Writing (Poetry) at UEA as the recipient of the Birch Family Scholarship. Her work has been featured in Bath magg, Riggwelter Press and The Manchester Review. The winner of the White Review Poet’s Prize will be announced in March.
