No Straight Thing Was Ever Made is a new collection of essays on mental health by UEA alumna Urvashi Bahuguna and is published by Penguin Viking this week. Urvashi graduated from the UEA MA in Creative Writing (Poetry) in 2014. She grew up in Goa and currently lives and works in Delhi. Her debut collection of poetry, Terrarium, won the The (Great) Indian Poetry Collective’s Emerging Poet’s Prize in 2017 and was published in 2019. Urvashi has been the recipient of a Charles Wallace India Trust Fellowship, a Sangam House fellowship, an Eclectica Spotlight Author Prize, a TOTO Award for Creative Writing, and a Wingword Poetry Prize.
