Boy in Various Poses is the debut collection of poetry by UEA alumnus Lewis Buxton and is published by Nine Arches Press this week. Lewis graduated from UEA’s BA in English Literature with Creative Writing in 2014 and from the MA in Creative Writing (Poetry) in 2020. His work has previously appeared in Ambit Magazine, Oxford Poetry and Ink, Sweat and Tears, and in 2017 he was shortlisted for the Oxford Brookes International Poetry Prize. ‘Field Dressing a Rabbit’ was the winner of the 2020 Winchester Poetry Prize, organised by the Winchester Poetry Festival and judged by Andrew McMillan. Lewis is the director and co-founder of TOAST Poetry, an organisation dedicated to the professional development of poets, and he teaches creative writing in schools, libraries and universities around the country.
