Shifting Lines is a multimedia poetry installation by UEA alumna Mona Arshi, made in collaboration with the cross-artform organisation Mutiny. Inspired by the coastal landscape of Cley, and commissioned as part of UEA’s Future & Form project, it will be showing at the Cley Wildlife Reserve during the 2021 Norfolk and Norwich Festival from 21 May. Future & Form comprises six new multidisciplinary, experimental works that explore the interface between contemporary literature and creative technology. Funded by Arts Council England, it is the centrepiece of the fiftieth anniversary celebrations of the UEA Creative Writing programme. Mona (pictured) graduated from the UEA MA in Creative Writing (Poetry) in 2011. Her debut collection Small Hands won the Forward Prize for best first collection in 2015. Dear Big Gods was published in 2019 by Liverpool University Press, and her debut novel will be published this year.
