Somebody Loves You is the debut novel by UEA alumna Mona Arshi and is published by And Other Stories this week. Mona (pictured) graduated from the UEA MA in Creative Writing (Poetry) in 2012, having previously trained as a lawyer and worked for the human rights organization Liberty. Her debut collection Small Hands won the Forward Prize for best first collection in 2015. Dear Big Gods was published in 2019 by Liverpool University Press, and last year she created Shifting Lines, a multimedia poetry installation, in collaboration with the cross-artform organisation Mutiny. Inspired by the coastal landscape of Cley, and commissioned as part of UEA’s Future & Form project, this was shown at the Cley Wildlife Reserve during the 2021 Norfolk and Norwich Festival.
